Caitlin + Richard Engagements

Oh how I love snow, and lots of it!  I love the fields around my house being covered in the beautiful white stuff.  It is just so magical to watch as if comes down.  Don’t get me wrong, I am excited for spring, but I do love snow!  After waking up to a dusting of snow this morning, it reminded me of wearing my warm KLIM boots trudging thru the snow taking engagement pictures of this adorable and SUPER fun couple.  Yes, it was cold, but is was so much fun.  Just check out these engagement pictures, it was so worth being cold and in the snow.  Wouldn’t you agree?

Meet our newest addition at the studio!

Meet Cassidy Shoaf. She is our newest member of the Paisley Studios team and she fits right in! She has always had a passion for all things beauty and is so excited to grow her clientele. Cassidy is offering a new client special for eyelash extensions, $65 for a new set! She studied Esthetics at Austin Kade Academy and graduated in 2012. During her time at Austin Kade, she trained and certified through Minkys in eyelash extensions. Cassidy loves eyelash extensions and what they can do for anyone who is looking to have a darker, fuller lash, or just doesn’t want to hassle with mascara each and every day. She also specializes in body waxing, brow/lash tinting and Norvell Airbrush Spray Tanning System. Cassidy is always looking to extend her knowledge and stay up to date on new beauty trends. In 2015 she was trained to do volume eyelash extensions and Browology to do 3D brows.  She is currently still working on her technique for both services.  She has also achieved a certificate from Norvell as a Professional Spray tanning Tech.  When she isn’t busy doing the job she loves, she is a wife to her wonderful husband Aaron and a mom to two beautiful daughters Madison and Maesa. If you are ready to try out eyelash extensions or looking for something new, give Cassidy a call to book your appointment at the studio 208.785.3411 or her personally at 208.380.1792 call/text.

It’s a Roller Skating Kind of Day

A small group of us decided we needed to expose our children to the pastimes of our youth, roller skating at Deleta Skating Rink. The place hasn’t changed a bit, which is not a bad thing because we all got the full nostalgic experience. The colors, smells, and skate competitions, were just as I remembered. Other then the realization that it would be extremely easy to break a bone or go crashing into a small child, nothing had changed. The kids had a ball learning how to maneuver themselves on wheels and we enjoyed watching them learn. Deleta also allows you to take strollers on the rink, so the baby girls didn’t miss out on the fun! We also took our children to Taste of India and Nepal (also know as The Himalayan). Don’t let the exterior of the restaurant turn you away because the food is to die for. Vegetable Pakoras, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, the list goes on and on for amazing dishes. I am getting hungry just thinking about the Garlic Naan bread, and don’t even get me started on the homemade mango ice cream….we tried to steal it from our children it is that good. If you are looking for a great way to spend this dreary Saturday afternoon, Indian food and good old roller skating might be the ticket!

Happy (Belated) New Year!

Ringing in the New Year has left me wondering what I want in 2016. I am in the midst of starting a new life for myself and I feel so lucky to be surrounded by loving friends and family. I think what I want most for this new year is to feel and give love…which can be harder than it sounds. It is so easy to get wrapped up in gossip, especially when it is cloaked as concern or care. Think of the conversations you share with your closest friends and family, do you discuss ideas, experiences, entertainment, and values? Or, do you discuss your ideas and experiences about someone else? I have learned that I am much more fulfilled when I surround myself with people who are more interested in life and learning, rather than learning what is happening in the life of someone else. I want to thank all of you who play an active part in my life, you have helped me ways you might not even be aware. I have felt such an outpouring of love from both old and new friends, and I look forward to times ahead. I have learned that it is o.k. to struggle and that it is essential to growing into a better, stronger person. I am so grateful for my personal and work relationships, you all fill my life with happiness! Each day I wake feeling so blessed to be able to call you all friends, and know that I care for all of you!

I also want to thank my clients, both from previous years and for 2016. There are few things more rewarding than being able to participate in some of the most tender moments in your life. Thank you for allowing me to capture  memories for you and I look forward to many more years and experiences. You are all so amazing and make me love what I do!
